With the first case of Covid 19 (Corona virus) now diagnosed on the Island, we would be naïve to believe that we are not going to see further cases in the near future. It is important now, for the sake of the health and well-being of our own staff and our customers and for the welfare of the business, that we do everything possible to try and reduce the risk of spread of this virus, which could potentially have a devastating effect on our businesses and on the Island as a whole.
The health and well-being of our staff and customers is our highest priority, we are following the States guidelines for preventing the spread of the virus and we have taken the decision to stop the visitation of suppliers reps to the Island in the short term, as a precaution until things settle down and we have a better understanding of what to expect. This is not a decision that we have made lightly but is one that we have been done with everybody’s welfare in mind.
We have a business continuity plan in place, we have been in contact with our key suppliers and are confident that our supply chain have put the necessary actions into place to ensure that they are able continue to supply us with product without fear of shortages or rationing. We have increased our own stock where necessary, especially from those Countries worst hit by the virus to ensure that the same is true for us. We are committed to giving our customers the best service possible even during this potentially difficult time.
We will be putting out a statement on our website and on our Facebook page and we will endeavour to keep you all informed as and when anything changes. In the meantime stay healthy.
